R&D continues to be defining reputational strength for pharmaceutical companies operating in the UK. Over four in five HCPs agree that pharmaceutical companies invest in high quality research of new medicines and that it uses the latest cutting-edge technology in doing so. There is a high degree of recognition that pharmaceutical companies produce safe and effective medicines that people need.
They are very much at the forefront when it comes to R&D across the whole state of medical and clinical excellence. Payer

Pharmaceutical companies are recognised for their contributions to delivering positive outcomes for health through developing new and effective medicines.
We are absolutely doomed without them. Otherwise, we get no advance in treatment and care. That is especially the case from the oncology point of view. I want my patients to be able to live longer, disease-free. Without these advances in meds, we will not be able to get anywhere in the future. Nurse Prescriber

There is again a high degree of recognition of the contribution the sector makes to the UK. Three in four believe pharmaceutical companies operating in the UK create lots of jobs. Two in three believe it makes a positive contribution to the economy. However, there is less certainty among HCPs this year as to whether the sector makes a positive contribution to societal challenges and issues.
I'm sure that they are doing things with regard to social value and sustainability impacts. I wouldn't know exactly what they are but there will be quite a thread of stuff with regards to the social value and the sustainability, like the net zero carbon- I'm sure that they are using correct methods of where things are manufactured, the slavery act, you'll be able to go all the way down the trace room, coming out of the ground whatever it is and all the manufacturing process, I'm sure, that they've got a great pipeline of doing best practice.
