NIHR framework on racial equality in research
The NIHR Race Equality Public Action Group co-produced the NIHR Race Equality Framework to provide research organisations with a tool they can use to improve racial equality in health and care research. The framework includes self-assessment questions across five ‘domains’ of research (e.g. participant recruitment) that organisations can reflect and act on to improve health outcomes for Black African-, Asian- and Caribbean-heritage communities.
ABPI member Roche UK piloted the NIHR Race Equality Framework between September and December 2021.
