NICE/DSU/ABPI Masterclass – What makes a good submission to NICE?

Physical
Public & Paid

The NICE/DSU/ABPI Masterclasses are unique in being focused solely on the specific requirements of NICE and its Appraisal Committees and on the challenges associated with key areas of evidence generation and methodology.  They are specifically designed for staff in pharmaceutical companies who prepare submissions, the consultancies that support them, and members of the academic groups who review the submissions.

Making high quality, evidence-based submissions to NICE’s Technology Appraisal processes can mean the difference between successful or very limited access to the NHS market for medicines.

Who should attend:
‘What makes a good submission to NICE?’ has been developed for those who are currently involved in producing submissions for the NICE technology appraisals programme using the new manual introduced in 2022.

It is mixture of formal presentations, discussion and group exercises centred around real-life examples, and an opportunity to hear directly from members of the NICE Decision Support Unit and other leading HTA experts on:

  • Interpreting a decision problem and structuring an economic model (Professor Nick Latimer, University of Sheffield)
  • Severity Modifiers (Professor Allan Wailoo, University of Sheffield)
  • Evidence synthesis (Professor Nicky Welton, University of Bristol)
  • The analysis of uncertainty and presentation of results (Professor Matt Stevenson, University of Sheffield)

The masterclass will take place face to face at the Hilton London Tower Bridge.
