ABPI welcomes Chancellor’s speech at Labour party conference

Chancellor Rachel Reeves addressed the Labour Party Conference today, setting out Labour’s plans for economic stability and growth.

Responding to her words, ABPI Executive Director of Corporate Affairs and Strategy Colette Goldrick said:

“We heard much to welcome from the Chancellor today, including her unwavering commitment to investment, growth, and jobs. It was great to hear our sector recognised as a driver for delivery of the government's vision and missions, along with an acknowledgement of the need for stability to deliver on the potential our industry represents.

“To fulfil that potential, we need to see supporting innovation and improving UK international competitiveness at the heart of the upcoming industrial strategy. We look forward to helping the Chancellor bring about the jobs, growth and investment the UK needs.”
