Will Pender joined Duchenne UK in May 2020 as their Senior Policy Manager.

The charity focuses on finding a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a rare and progressive muscle-wasting disease. Will has a background working in Parliament, and before that a political communications agency. He leads on all policy and advocacy matters for Duchenne UK, and assists in the planning and delivery of their campaigns and projects, including the DMD Hub, Project HERCULES and DMD Care UK.

Before joining Duchenne UK Will had collaborated with the charity’s co-founders, Alex Johnson and Emily Reuben, on the successful campaign for the Early Access to Medicines Scheme.

Patient Organisation Steering Committee

The ABPI Patient Organisation Forum is co-led by leaders from patient charities and ABPI members.
