Neale Belson

Neale is General Manager for GSK in the UK.

In this role, he oversees all aspects of the UK operating business for Vaccines, Specialty, Oncology and General Medicines.

Neale has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, both in the UK and internationally. He has held various leadership positions across multiple therapeutic areas, including the United States, Europe, and his most recent role as Vice President and Area Director for the GSK Nordic and Baltic Cluster.

Throughout his career, Neale has demonstrated a strong ability to lead change in diverse and dynamic environments. He is dedicated to collaborating with industry colleagues to drive necessary positive progress in the UK healthcare landscape, supporting the shared ambitions of improved patient outcomes, a sustainable NHS and a thriving life sciences sector to support the economy.

Neale has been a member of the ABPI Board since 2020, was part of the recent ABPI Board VPAG Negotiating Team and serves as Board Sponsor for the Vaccines Strategy Group, alongside his MSD counterpart Ben Lucas.

Prior to joining GSK, Neale held senior commercial positions at AstraZeneca, where he led Global teams and championed a new commercial model.

Neale holds a B.Sc. in Pharmacology from Leeds University. He is married and has four children.
